How It Works
CLEIMUN’s unique style combines elements of MUN operating systems from across the world.
Typically, delegates in European models prepare draft resolutions before the conference. The delegates lobby and merge their resolutions with other countries in their committee with the goal of constructing a comprehensive set of ideas that will stand up to debate. After lobbying, resolutions go to the Approvals Panel, which makes sure the papers are formatted correctly.
Debate in CLEIMUN is oriented around the North American model. While the conference uses a speaker’s list to structure debate, many of the delegates’ discussions will take place in unmoderated caucuses.
The blend of two distinct styles of procedure allows delegates to experience the best of both worlds, while also encouraging robust debate.
